When I visited Eastern Delight at Kota Damansara, I wondered was it the same one as mentioned in Tulan’s blog. He went to the one at Sri Petaling, while I was at the newly opened branch @ Kota Damansara.
It was another one of those steamboat shops, but the thing is they serve not only soup but porridge as well. I was kind of dissatisfied with this shop, due to the high price and the nothing-to-shout about food there.
The porridge was diluted and they charge RM 14 just for the plain porridge. On the other hand, I was even more shocked when I saw they charge RM 10 just for the plain soup. I’ve been to so many steamboat shops, and they always have free flow of soup. So why is this one charging? Furthermore the portion was small, and we needed to have extra orders apart from the set, which means added price to the bill. Gosh!
Total damage: RM 190.16

Separate charge for soup, that's Hong Kong's style. If this becomes the trend in Malaysia, tragic!
i went there b4 too.... sob sob... bad food... nothing to hoo ha about but i wonder why so many people there... zzzzz
I hate places that overcharge people. why in the hell they want to charge for the soup? when we actually ordering the food already... shucks!

Yes, same owner both Sri Petaling and Kota Damansara one. Same feeling here... after eat and pay... still feel hungry. Too expensive lah! :p
